JSA Architects has been a full service architectural firm since 1985. We serve our clients from our offices in Odessa, Midland, Lubbock, Houston and Kerrville, Texas.

Our firm believes that the first and most important step in every project is to understand the client's vision for that project. For over 39 years, we have made a commitment to every client that their vision would be the basis for their solution.

JSA Architects has a passion to enhance the communities we serve. We achieve high-quality results by procuring our projects in a collaborative team approach. To ensure that JSA continue the legacy of creative design and high-quality construction documents for years to come, our firm ensures that a Principal of JSA will directly oversee all phases of our client’s projects.

To accomplish quality architectural services for each client, JSA combines, coordinates and incorporates the talents from all our office locations. JSA produces all of our projects in the latest 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) software improving our communication and visualization capabilities. In addition, BIM allows JSA to push even more by providing quality control by utilizing infrastructure interference techniques to help minimize issues and change orders in the field.

JSA believes in a strong work ethic and giving each Client the level of attention that they seek from the beginning to the end of their project and beyond. JSA’s ability over the years to maintain solid report with area Contractors attributes greatly to the satisfaction of our clients.

The vision for JSA Architects began in the fall of 1985. Following the oil bust of early 80s, local organizations such as Ector County Independent School District, the City of Odessa, and Ector County began to address their physical facilities needs. In addition to these eventual long-term clients, JSA also began to design religious and medical projects. Understanding the needs of the community, JSA began to grow and progressively serve as Odessa’s longest generalist architecture firm. Fast forward to the present – JSA now serves cities across West Texas, the South Plains and the Hill Country. Today, JSA President Cruz Castillo, III, and Vice President Jay Bradford serve as principals and the leadership of the firm. Together, they bring more than 50 years of creative design and architectural experience to JSA. Richard Schwope, JSA Partner, manages clients in West Texas. JSA Business Manager Michael Seefeldt directs the Kerrville office and is critical to the success of JSA by ensuring the firm functions efficiently and remains on track to achieve financial goals.
